Take time to relax and reconnect with your creative self through exploring the wonders of watercolour natural inks.
Workshop
Discover how the plants and berries around us can be made into natural inks. I will share with you some common natural materials which you can extract pigment from and the processes to make these into inks. You will have the opportunity to experiment with inks changing their colours with additives and try these out on watercolour paper with brushes, twigs and quills in a mini painting activity. You will take your artwork along with a mini natural ink sample and a printed ink ‘recipe’ home to continue your ink discovery. It’s a super fun workshop to bring some eco creativity to your day.
Your Safety and Enjoyment:
Within the session the natural plant materials such as berries, leaves, bark and spices will be used in the demonstration and painting activity. Paints have natural minerals Alum and Gum Arabic (A type of tree resin) in them. Gloves and Masks will be available should you need. If you have concerns due to allergies or sensitivities, please get in touch prior to booking to discuss if the session is suitable for you.
Aprons advised as Inks can stain!
Terms & Conditions
Our adult workshops are suitable for people 16 years and over. No experience necessary, suitable for complete beginners, options for all abilities. Refunds for cancellations are available up to 14 days prior to the event. Thereafter bookings are non-refundable. Minimum running numbers apply. Should this not be achieved the sessions will be unable to run. In this case a full refund will be issued.
